TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Thank you for booking with Elephant View Shepherds Hut, we look forward to welcoming you. We at Elephant View want to bring a few things to your attention, and make you aware of our terms and conditions.

YOUR BOOKING

  • ·        We reserve the right to accept or decline bookings entirely at our discretion

  • ·        Your contract with us will begin once you receive a booking confirmation, your contract with us will be on the terms set out in these terms and conditions

  • ·        Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult

  • ·        The person whose name appears on the booking form agrees to take full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the party adhere to the conditions set out below.

  • ·        On these conditions “Owner” refers to the owner of the property you are booking, “Property” refers to the Shepherds Hut and everything on the Property footprint that you are booking. E.g. hot tub, pizza oven

  • ·        The maximum number of people occupying the property is limited to 2 adults and 2 children as stated on the booking site

  • ·        You accept that the responsibility for personal property of guests occupying the accommodation is solely theirs. All vehicles are also left at the guest’s risk. Guest agrees to absolve the owner of any responsibility for any accident or mishap to persons or property whilst on the premises or whilst engaged in any activity therein, or from any illness or injury arising from any causes whatsoever.

  • ·        You agree to use the property for solely its intended purpose. And to accept the owners right to refuse to hand over the property to any person deemed unsuitable to take charge. Causing a nuisance or disturbance to neighbors, unreasonable behaviour or disrupting of the land may result in the owner requesting you to leave.

  • ·        You agree to allow the owner or agents access to the property at all reasonable times. We will only ever request access to your property in case of an emergency.

  • ·        The property is cleaned thoroughly between each let. However, as only a limited period of time is available to clean the property, it is important you as the guest must maintain the level of cleanliness thorough the property. And leave its contents as you find them.

  • ·        If the property is deemed as not in a fit state, and will need excessive cleaning then the owner will have the right to bill you.

 

 

PAYING FOR YOUR ACCOMODATION

  • ·        You must pay us the total amount payable for your booking at the time of booking

  • ·        We do not accept cheque payments

  • ·        Pricing is reviewed regularly, please check the accommodation listing for most up to date pricing

 

CANCELLATIONS/ INSURANCE

  • ·        If you wish to cancel a booking, please notify the owner by calling by telephone or sending an email

  • ·        14 day free cancellation period from date of arrival

  • ·        Issues with extreme weather could arise, and we do our best to warn guests beforehand and move dates if possible

  • ·        We advise guests to take out appropriate travel insurance

 

LIABILITIES

  • ·        We charge a fee of £10 for lost keys

  • ·        Any damage caused to the property will be charged to the guests (you) 

  • ·        Please do not leave anything close to the electric fire

  • ·        Please do not extinguish outdoor fires with water as it will cause damage.

  • ·        No Chinese lanterns and fireworks on site

  • ·        All our portable electrical equipment has been tested and approved. The use of your own portable electrical equipment is used at your own risk.

  • ·        You are responsible for your children and party for the duration of your stay, Elephant View Shepherds Hut takes no responsibility

  • ·        Please remember you are staying in a camping environment on a working farm, with live animals and other hazards. Including some uneven terrain and some areas that are fenced off and out of bounds for guests. Some of the equipment on the site can be dangerous if misused. The owner accepts no liability for any incident, injury, loss or damage sustained by any guest/ visitors however caused.

 

NUMBER OF GUESTS

  • ·        The maximum number of people occupying the property is limited to 2 adults and 2 children as stated on the booking site and all social media platforms the property is advertised on.

  • ·        The top bunk is not suitable for adults

  • ·        Maximum occupancy must be followed at all times and no day guests are allowed on site

  • ·        If maximum occupancy is not adhered to then you will be asked to leave site immediately with no refund given

BREAKAGES

  • ·        Guests will be held accountable for any fire, damage or altercation to the property or any of the amenities provided e.g., hot tub, pizza oven. And charged full price of damage.

  • ·        Tea lights, candles and any naked flames are strictly forbidden inside the shepherd’s hut

  • ·        The guests (you) are made aware of operating procedure of hot tub and pizza oven through tutorial video links, and step by step written instructions in the guest information folder. Must follow these at all times, failure to do so will result in damage that we (Elephant View) will charge to the guest (you)

  • ·        The guest (you) Told to STRICTLY NOT EMPTY THE WOOD FIRED HOT TUB UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Call the owner and we will rectify whatever the issue may be. Any damage to hot tub will be fully charged to the guest (you)

  • ·        You must respect and look after your accommodation during your stay. And you must leave the property clean and tidy. Please let us know of any damage or breakages so we can repair or replace them for our next guests. We reserve the right to charge for any damage, breakages and missing/ stolen items

 

COMPLAINTS

  • ·        it is important any issues are flagged up immediately and reported to the owner. It is extremely unlikely to happen, but if the owner has been informed, we can proceed to rectify it right away.

 

PETS

  • ·        No pets are allowed

 

SMOKING

  • ·        No smoking inside the Shepherds Hut or inside the Hot Tub

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

  • ·        You must vacate the property by no later than 10am at the latest on your day of departure. Unless special arrangements have been made with the owner. This is to allow us to prepare the property for our next guests.

  • ·        Guest arrival time is from 3pm onwards unless special arrangements have been made with the owner.

 

WIFI

  • ·        WiFi available on site, phone signal and mobile data is no problem in our area, 4G works well.

 

WOOD FIRED HOT TUB

  • ·        Follow instructions given. Tutorial video link sent to guest (you) must be watched, also there is a written step by step guide in the guest information folder. Call owner if any issues arise

  • ·        NEVER – empty water from hot tub. This will destroy the heater and damage the hot tub beyond repair.

  • ·        If damage does occur, the owner has a right to charge the guest full cost of damage


WOOD FIRED PIZZA OVEN

  • ·        Tutorial video link sent to the guest (you) must be watched, also there is a written step by step guide in the guest welcome folder. Call owner if any issues arise

  • ·        Damage to the oven will be charged to the guest (you) for the total cost of damage
